Rogue Fitness Announces “50 Cal Challenge” Winners and Prize Money

This Record Breakers event was open for everyone to compete.

On Nov. 30, 2020, Rogue Fitness announced a “50 Cal Challenge.” Starting on Dec. 11, 2020, and ending on Dec. 14, 2020, anyone that had access to a Rogue Echo Bike was invited to take part in this online challenge that called for competitors to burn 50 calories on the air bike in the quickest time possible. Rides had to be recorded and submitted to Rogue for validation. Many of the competitors went to their local gyms to perform the ride.

There were four divisions separated by gender and age. The top three in each category were awarded cash prizes as well as a new Rogue Echo Bike. There was also a gym contest. The three gyms with the most contestants signing up would also win a new bike. The gym winner was University Place CrossFit out of Washington State, with 60 total athletes taking part.

Here’s a breakdown of the top three in each of the four individual categories.

In the adult men category, Nick Garcia of CrossFit Iron Muscle in Tooele, Utah, was the fastest overall competitor, completing the 50 calorie goal in an astonishing 24 seconds. He took the win as well as the $5,000 overall cash prize.
