New Opportunity for CrossFit Affiliates – ‘Best Hour of Their Day’ Unveils AffiliateCon Business Summit

Written by Emily Beers
Last updated on April 28th, 2025

Best Hour of Their Day is hosting a new event for CrossFit affiliate gym owners and coaches this October called AffiliateCon.

  • The three-day event will take place at the Omni Las Colinas Hotel in Irving, TX, from October 24 to 26 and will accommodate 600 affiliate owners and coaches. The overall goal is to provide them with ways to improve their business and “push their team forward,” explained Jodi Lovelace, Best Hour of Their Day’s Head of Partnerships and Events.

This is the first time the affiliate coaching and mentorship company, Best Hour of Their Day, is hosting a public event since their other mastermind events have always been for clients only.

The speaker lineup is still taking shape but currently includes Best Hour’s Jason Fernandez and Jason Ackerman, along with Aerobic Capacity founder and endurance guru Chris Hinshaw, as well as the coach to three of the four fittest men in 2024, Brute Strength mastermind Matt Torres.

Early bird registration is now available to the public and costs $400.

Remind Me

While numerous gym business mentorship companies exist today, what distinguishes Best Hour of Their Day is its exclusive focus on CrossFit affiliate owners, as well as those in the process of affiliating or launching a new gym.

Founded by long-time affiliate owners Jason Fernandez and Jason Ackerman, Best Hour of Their Day has collaborated with over 1,000 affiliate owners to enhance their businesses and cultivate their coaching staff through the Affiliate University program.

  • The 12-month Affiliate University program begins with a “really in-depth inspection” of their current business, Lovelace explained. After that, gyms receive a personal business coach to help them achieve their goals.

The Details

AffiliateCon will offer two tracks: one for affiliate owners and another for coaches. Each track will feature various speakers, presenters, and workshops relevant to their respective groups, covering topics such as sales, onboarding, client retention, and effective class management, as Lovelace provided as examples.

Furthermore, AffiliateCon will include social opportunities, such as “booze and schmooze” evenings and dinners, to promote networking among gym owners and coaches.

  • “We want the affiliate owners and the coaches to really walk away with some actionable items that they can go back and they can start to implement the following week to push, not just their business forward, but to also push their team forward,” Lovelace said.

The Big Picture

The gym business mentorship market is highly competitive today, but most programs focus on gyms in general rather than specifically on CrossFit affiliates. This distinction sets Best Hour of Their Day apart.

AffiliateCon will not be an exception; it is designed for affiliate owners by affiliate owners who understand their needs and can help them elevate their business, Lovelace explained.

  • “Our end goal is to help create the world’s most successful CrossFit affiliate owners and coaches,” he added.
