2018 CrossFit Regionals Events, What We Know So Far
The story.
Whether you’re a first-time athlete or a multi-year veteran, by now you know that Dave Castro likes the slow roll, teasing events and movements out for your mental enjoyment (or suffering!). Regionals is no different.
So what do we know now?
Two things: teams will suffer through a four-person worm, and both teams and individuals will do a handstand walk obstacle course. We don’t take worm wall balls seriously folks.
BTW, last year only one team and one individual hint was given before Dave started releasing the actual events.

So when will we learn the actual events?
Our guess: May 7, the Monday before (11 days) the first Regionals week starts. Dave will likely roll one event out per day on Instagram for the next few days starting with individuals then moving to teams. He’ll probably keep one event TBD just to keep folks guessing.
FUN FACT: There has never been a 1 rep max clean and jerk event at Regionals. In 2014, there was a 1RM hang snatch and in 2015 there was a 1RM snatch event.
FUN FACT #2: During the first Regionals back in 2011, Event 2 was a thruster ladder with 15 barbell weights ascending from 155/105 pounds to 295/185 pounds. If any two athletes finished the all 15 thrusters, the tiebreaker was six more barbells ranging from 305/190 pounds to 355/215 pounds.
