How to Watch the 2022 Legends Championship

The 2022 Legends Championship, presented by Mayhem Athlete, is set to kick off this week at the world-renowned CrossFit Mayhem in Cookeville, Tennessee. As a Morning Chalk Up Partner Event, we’ll be helping to bring you all the action throughout the four days of competition.

  • The final two days of competition will be streamed on Mayhem’s YouTube page

If you haven’t already, get up to speed with the importance of this master’s event, as well as Lauren Kalil’s live YouTube interview with Rory McKernan.

Competition breakdown: There will be seven different age divisions, with 168 total competitors participating in the live event. 

  • 35-39: 32 male and female
  • 40-44: 32 male and female
  • 45-49: 32 male and female
  • 50-54: 24 male and female
  • 55-59: 24 male and female
  • 60-64: 16 male and female
  • 65+: 8 male and female

Female athletes to watch: 

  • April Payne (35-39): Payne finished fourth at the 2021 CrossFit Games in the 35-39 division and most recently took 11th at the 2022 Age Group Semifinal (35-39 division). 
  • Colleen Lehane (35-39): Lehane finished fifth at the 2021 CrossFit Games in the 35-39 division and most recently placed 15th at the 2022 Age Group Semifinal (35-39 division). She also competed at Regionals for seven consecutive years between 2012 and 2018 (five as an individual and two on a team).  
  • Jolene Quirke (35-39): Quirke finished ninth at the 2019 CrossFit Games in the 35-39 division and competed at Regionals five times as an individual between 2012 and 2018. 
  • Mallory Lawson (35-39): Lawson is a two-time CrossFit Games competitor, finishing 12th in 2017 as an individual and 11th in 2015 on a team with CrossFit 417. 
  • Ashley Werner (35-39): Werner finished 12th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and also competed at Regionals seven times between 2012 and 2018 (twice on a team and five times as an individual).
  • Amanda Norton (35-39): Norton finished 17th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and also competed as an individual at Regionals three times between 2012 and 2017.
  • Gillian Gook (35-39): Gook finished 20th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Lacy Baumgart (35-39): Baumgart finished 24th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and also competed as an individual at Regionals three times between 2015 and 2018. 
  • Jamie Latimer (35-39): Latimer finished 25th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal.
  • Paula Santos (35-39): Santos competed at the Syndicate Crown Semifinal in 2022 with team CrossFit Iconic. She also competed at Regionals three times between 2015 and 2018 (twice on a team and once as an individual).  
  • Ashley Rincon (35-39): Rincon competed at Regionals six times between 2012 and 2018 (four as an individual and two on a team with CrossFit CSA). 
  • Michelle Cavalieri (35-39): Cavalieri competed in the Occupational Games in 2021 (11th place) and 2022 (10th place) in the educator division. 
  • Eva Thorton (50-54): The only CrossFit Games Champion competing on the female side, took first place in the 50-54 division back in 2018. She also competed at the Games in 2015 (fourth place) and 2017 (fourth place). 
  • Tara Philion (50-54): Philion finished 11th at the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Amy Jo DiMeglio (55-59): DiMeglio finished 12th at the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Liz Cole (65+): The four-time Games competitor first came on the scene in 2017 and has finished inside the top 10 twice in her career. Cole finished 18th at the 2022 Age Group Semifinal in the 65+ division. 

Male athletes to watch:

  • Gary Helmick (35-39): Helmick is a three-time CrossFit Games athlete, competing in 2013 and 2017 as an individual, and 2017 on a team with CrossFit Revamped. 
  • Matthew Buehrle (35-39): Buehrle finished 18th at the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Ryan Smith (35-39): Smith competed at Regionals six times as an individual between 2012 and 2017. 
  • Ram Dover (35-39): Dover finished 29th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and 20th as an individual in the 2021 CrossFit Asia Semifinal. He also is a six time Regionals athlete (three as an individual and three on a team). 
  • Chad Kackert (35-39): Kackert finished 17th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and 24th at the 2021 West Coast Classic Semifinal as an individual. 
  • David Syvertsen (35-39): Syvertsen finished 28th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and placed 12th with team East Coliseum Strength at the 2018 Regionals. 
  • Christopher Treanor (35-39): Treanor finished 11th at the 2021 Granite Games Semifinal with team CrossFit Blade. He is also a three-time Regional athlete, competing from 2016-2018 in the team division. 
  • Greg Douglas (35-39): Douglas competed in the Occupational Games in 2021 (third place) and 2022 (14th place) in the law enforcement officer category. 
  • Rudolph Berger (40-44): Berger won the 2022 CrossFit Games in the 40-44 division, making him the top competitor in his respective division attending the Legends Championship. 
  • Maxime Guyon (40-44): Guyone won the 2021 CrossFit Games in the 40-44 division. He also finished 12th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Chris Reil Jr. (40-44): Riel finished 18th at the 2021 CrossFit Games in the 40-44 division. 
  • Christopher Anderson (40-44): Anderson finished ninth at the 2019 CrossFit Games in the 40-44 division. 
  • Roy Viger (40-44): Viger finished 25th at the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Clint DeSoto (40-44): DeSoto finished 17th in the 2022 Occupational Games in the Law Enforcement division. 
  • David Crosson (40-44): Crosson finished 10th in the 2021 Occupational Games in the Health Care division. 
  • Mike Kern (45-49): Kern is a five-time CrossFit Games competitor, most recently taking second place at the 2022 Games in the 45-49 division. He’s finished on the podium three times in his career.  
  • Vlad Liashkevich (45-49): Liashkevich finished third at the 2022 CrossFit Games in the 45-49 division. 
  • Justin LaSala (45-49): LaSala is a five-time CrossFit Games competitor, most recently taking seventh place at the 2022 Game since the 45-49 division. He’s finished on the podium twice in his career. 
  • Jeremiah Head (45-49): Head finished sixth at the 2021 CrossFit Games in the 45-49 division. 
  • Todd Edmunds (45-49): Edmunds finished 19th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and is a five time Regional athlete, competing between 2012 and 2017 (three on a team and twice as an individual). 
  • Shannon McKay (50-54): McKay placed 15th at the 2021 CrossFit Games in the 50-54 division and most recently finished 13th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Nikolaos Harbilas (50-54): Harbilas finished 15th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and notably placed 15th at the 2017 CrossFit Games in the 45-49 division. 
  • Stacy M. Boaz (50-54): Boaz finished 17th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Denny Ferreira (50-54): Ferreira finished 18th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal. 
  • Andy Kuhlmann (55-59): Kuhlmann placed fourth at the 2022 CrossFit Games in the 55-59 division. 
  • Joey Lochner (60-64): Lochner finished 14th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal and notably competed at the CrossFit Games in 2012 (18th place) and 2014 (third place), both times competing in the 50-54 division. 
  • Wil Powell (60-64): Powell is a nine-time CrossFit Games athlete, most recently finishing fifth at the 2022 Games in the 60-64 division. He has won the CrossFit Games four times in his career, making him the most decorated competitor attending the Legends Championship. 
  • Gus VanDerVoort (60-64): VanDerVoort is a four-time CrossFit Games athlete and most recently took eighth place at the 2022 Games in the 60-64 division. 
  • Cal Cherrington (65+): Cherrington is a four time CrossFit Games athlete, who won the 2022 Games in the 65+ division. 
  • George Koch (65+): Koch finished 13th in the 2022 Age Group Semifinal notably took second at the 2021 CrossFit Games in the 65+ division.
