‘Quiet Kwant’ Strikes Again at Wodapalooza
After four events at 2024 TYR Wodapalooza in Miami, FL, Samuel Kwant sits in second overall, just a handful of points behind overall leader Ricky Garard.
As always, though, Kwant seemed to do this while somehow flying under the radar.
Here are his event finishes so far:
- Event 1: 17th
- Event 2: 5th
- Event 3 Part 1: 3rd
- Event 3 Part 2: 1st
- Event 4: 3rd
After a mediocre 17th place finish in the snatch complex event “Double or Nothin,’” Kwant has had four straight top five finishes, including three straight top three finishes.
During this sprint up the leaderboard he has now passed Patrick Vellner, Brent Fikowski, and everyone else besides Garard.
Before Event 4 Kwant was only 1.5 points behind Jack Farlow in third, but after Farlow had a 13th place finish, Kwant no longer has to worry about competing with him for the podium.
The Silent Assassin
The community as a whole knows that Sam Kwant is one of the fittest men in the world and has been for many years now, but his quiet demeanor and lack of event wins causes him to often go overlooked.
As a father of two who works out in his garage, has a relatively small social media following, and doesn’t spend much time doing podcasts or commercials for sponsorships, he enjoys putting the work in alone and speaking with action.
Now, with only one event left to go at TYR Wodapalooza Miami , Kwant could start off 2024 with a win against an extremely stacked field and give everyone something to keep in mind throughout the rest of the season.
