2022 Strongman Champions League Bosnia Results — Dainis Zageris Wins

Zageris stood atop the podium with only half of a point to spare.

On Sept. 3, 2022, 13 elite strongmen converged on Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to compete in five events for the 2022 Strongman Champions League (SCL) Bosnia contest. At the conclusion of the single-day competition, Dainis Zageris of Latvia emerged victorious by half a point over the runner-up Rongo Keene of Australia and Roberto Rodriguez of Spain.

The five events were as follows: Truck Pull, Car Deadlift, Farmer’s Walk, Log Lift, and Atlas Stones. Here are the full results below:

2022 Strongman Champions League Bosnia Results

  1. Dainis Zageris (Latvia) — 51 points
  2. Rongo Keene (Australia) — 50.5 points
  3. Roberto Rodríguez (Spain) — 50.5 points
  4. George Sulaiman (Netherlands) — 48 points
  5. Kane Francis (UK) — 43 points
  6. Péter Juhász (Hungary) — 39 points
  7. Ervin Toots (Estonia) — 37.5 points
  8. Fatih Karaca (Turkey) — 31 points
  9. Nemanja Tasić (Austria) — 29.5 points
  10. Jeremy Hogg (New Zealand) — 26 points
  11. Tiago Aparecido (Brazil) —21 points
  12. Marcelo Martínez (Uruguay) — 18 points
  13. Damir Stroil (Bosnia and Herzegovina) — withdrew

Truck Pull

Rodriguez set the pace in the truck pull, scoring the first-place time in just under 36 seconds. Keene was within a second behind him for second place.

  2. Rongo Keene — 36.52 seconds
  3. Fatih Karaca — 38.14 seconds
  4. Dainis Zageris — 38.72 seconds
  5. George Sulaiman — 41.20 seconds
  6. Ervin Toots —  41.92 seconds
  7. Péter Juhász — 42.22 seconds
  8. Jeremy Hogg — 44.12 seconds
  9. Marcelo Martínez — 46.23 seconds
  10. Nemanja Tasić — 47.72 seconds
  11. Tiago Aparecido — 50.22 seconds
  12. Kane Francis — 53.66 seconds
  13. Damir Stroil — withdrew

Car Deadlift

The Car Deadlift challenged each strongman to lock out as many reps as possible. Zageris scored his first event win, scoring four more reps than the runner-up Sulaiman.

  1. Dainis Zageris — 15 reps
  2. George Sulaiman — 11 reps
  3. Roberto Rodríguez — Eight reps (T-third)
  4. Rongo Keene — Eight reps (T-third)
  5. Jeremy Hogg — Seven reps
  6. Ervin Toots — Six reps (T-sixth)
  7. Marcelo Martínez — Six reps (T-sixth)
  8. Kane Francis —  Six reps (T-sixth)
  9. Fatih Karaca — Five reps (T-ninth)
  10. Nemanja Tasić — Five reps (T-ninth)
  11. Péter Juhász — Three reps
  12. Tiago Aparecido — Two reps
  13. Damir Stroil — withdrew

Farmer’s Walk

The Farmer’s Walk involved strongmen carrying 155 kilograms down a 25-meter course in the fastest possible time. There was a 60-second time cap, but the entire roster finished within 26 seconds.

  1. Kane Francis — 9.34 seconds
  2. Roberto Rodríguez — 10.14 seconds
  3. Péter Juhász — 10.20 seconds
  4. Nemanja Tasić — 11.42 seconds
  5. Ervin Toots — 12.03 seconds
  6. George Sulaiman — 12.94 seconds
  7. Fatih Karaca — 13 seconds
  8. Jeremy Hogg — 13.16 seconds
  9. Tiago Aparecido — 13.20 seconds
  10. Dainis Zageris — 16.19 seconds
  11. Rongo Keene — 19.80 seconds
  12. Marcelo Martínez — 26 seconds
  13. Damir Stroil — withdrew

Log Lift

With 60 seconds on the clock, each strongman tried to score as many reps as possible with the 140-kilogram log. Zageris scored his second event win of the day with one more rep than runner-up Keene.

  3. Kane Francis — Four reps (T-third)
  4. Roberto Rodríguez — Four reps (T-third)
  5. Péter Juhász — Four reps (T-third)

  8. Ervin Toots — Three reps (T-eighth)
  9. Fatih Karaca — Three reps (T-eighth)
  10. Nemanja Tasić — Two reps
  11. Jeremy Hogg — Zero reps
  12. Marcelo Martínez — Zero reps
  13. Damir Stroil — withdrew

Atlas Stones

The five Atlas Stones ranged from 120 to 180 kilograms. Each strongman attempted to load all five stones in the fastest time possible with a 75-second time cap.

  1. Rongo Keene — Four stones, 21.10 seconds
  2. Kane Francis — Four stones, 23.33 seconds
  3. Dainis Zageris — Four stones, 23.66 seconds
  4. George Sulaiman — Four stones, 24.31 seconds
  5. Péter Juhász — Four stones, 36.23 seconds
  6. Ervin Toots — Four stones, 50.17 seconds
  7. Nemanja Tasić — Three stones, 18.15 seconds
  8. Roberto Rodríguez — Three stones, 19.35 seconds
  9. Jeremy Hogg — Three stones, 31.60 seconds
  10. Marcelo Martínez — Three stones, 37.50 seconds
  11. Fatih Karaca — Two stones, 21.81 seconds
  12. Tiago Aparecido — Two stones, 39.57 seconds
