Outside of a handful of events — the Arnold Classic in Ohio, World’s Strongest Man, Giants Live, and a scant few others — most major pro strongman competitions can come up short in terms of video coverage (and good luck on finding live streams). And in terms of divisions besides the open weight class for men — where we see the world’s largest strength athletes throw down — coverage is rarer still.
Sometimes, though, we get lucky, and the Arnold Classic Africa is one such instance. Top strongman athletes, including Hafthor Björnsson, Dimitar Savatinov, Martin Wildaeur, and Mateusz Kieliszkowski, threw down in South Africa last May and StreamIt360 was there to catch it all.
Below, you can see the deadlifts courtesy of StreamIt360 and the production team that captured every lift, pull, press, and walk. It’s a relatively rare opportunity to watch a strongman comp basically from start to finish. If you’ve never seen these modern behemoths throw down before, we’d highly recommend taking some time to watch.
