The Athlete Match-Up

They’ve saved two of the biggest names in CrossFit for the final announcement. Who’s ready to see two-time winner of the Reebok CrossFit Games, Annie Thorisdottir take on three-time Reebok CrossFit Game podium finisher Patrick Vellner?

Let’s meet the competition.

Patrick Vellner

Vellner is a familiar name in at the Reebok CrossFit Games, particularly for his podium finishes in 2016 (third place), 2017 (third place), and 2018 (second place.) At the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games he finished in 16th place overall.

So far in the 2020 CrossFit Open, Vellner has been looking incredibly strong and currently sits in 4th place overall.

Annie Thorisdottir

Thorisdottir has been to the Reebok CrossFit Games seven times, and won it back-to-back in 2011 and 2012. She has been cruising through the 2020 Open so far, and has been sharing all of her workouts on her own YouTube channel.

At this time, she is in second place overall on the women’s Open leaderboard.

We’re really looking forward to seeing her take on Vellner!
