As 2020 winds down, the IFBB Pro League has gotten a jump start on hosting contests for competitors looking to qualify for the 2021 Olympia. The 2020 Romania Muscle Fest Pro was one of those competitions and it didn’t disappoint the fans in attendance. There were a few familiar names, and others who made their names more known this past weekend.
Winner – Regan Grimes

Grimes had to face traveling obstacles to get to this competition. He was coming off a second place finish to James Hollingshead at the British Grand Prix contest, but travel restrictions cause him delays making his way to this event. Nonetheless, he showed up in great shape with very defined abs, and he was able to take the overall victory. He is now qualified for both this year’s and next year’s Olympia. He has stated on his YouTube channel that he intends to compete in both contests.
2nd Place – Vlad Sukhoruchko
This competitor came to this show out of Ukraine and also came out of nowhere to finish in the silver position of the placings. Grimes was the clear favorite of the judges both in prejudging and the finals, but Sukhoruchko was solidly in second place on both rounds. His legs were what stood out the most. It will be interesting to see where he competes next now that he has points on the Olympia scoring system.
3rd Place – Theo Leguerrier
One of the favorites for this contest came from France, but it wasn’t Leguerrier. He was another pleasant surprise for the fans in attendance. He was a larger competitor but Grimes is known for his shape, symmetry, and he nailed his conditioning. Sukhoruchko also appeared more defined. This may be why he finished in third place. Nonetheless, he has great potential and will likely compete again to earn more points or perhaps a victory.
4th Place – Mokhamed El Eman
El Eman was one of the shorter competitors in this lineup, but he carries a lot of muscle. In his case, it may not have been what he did wrong, but rather the other competitors bringing so much more size. He appeared to be pleased with placing in the top 5 of this show. He could be another competitor to watch.
5th Place – Lionel Beyeke
Beyeke was making his first appearance onstage since 2018. He is a fan favorite, especially in Europe. He has been criticized in the past for being inconsistent with his conditioning. He appeared larger than when he last stepped onstage. If he can bring the conditioning he is capable of to match that size, he will likely win a future contest.
