CrossFit Blends Technology and Fitness With New Partnership
CrossFit has announced a new partnership that will further blend the worlds of technology and fitness. The CrossFit Affiliate Programming (CAP) team is joining forces with Colorado-based TrainHeroic.
The details: CAP will be available on the TrainHeroic app starting on June 13. The TrainHeroic app offers the marketplace for users to sign up for specific programming. It also helps them track their progress, compete against themselves, and keep connected with peers.
CrossFit affiliate owners and coaches will be able to sign up for the service through the training program marketplace, which already hosts programming from Matt Chan, Jamie Hagiya, and Christian Harris among others in the CrossFit space.
- With this addition, CrossFit coaches will now have access to programming officially endorsed by and created by some of the brightest minds in CrossFit, right on the TrainHeroic platform.
Remind me: The CrossFit Affiliate Programming (CAP), which began its roll out process on July 6, 2021, provides daily programming to affiliates in good standing. Austin Malleolo, James Hobart, Spencer Hendel, and Travis Herbanek created the new program and used their experience training more than 20,000 coaches as members of the CrossFit Seminar Staff to provide direct support to affiliate owners around the world.
- 1,790 affiliates took advantage of the offer and signed up for CAP within 24 hours of its launch. This accounted for roughly 15% of CrossFit affiliates in good standing.
- CrossFit responded to the number of interested affiliates by quickly beginning the onboarding process for the first 10. The goal was to onboard every affiliate by October 1, 2021.
- According to Hobart, the CAP team has since expanded to include multiple full-time Seminar Staff members.
Why this matters: CrossFit’s decision to partner with TrainHeroic provides the opportunity to reach an even larger audience with its daily programming. The Colorado-based company has been in existence since 2012, and it has focused on providing smart and effective strength and conditioning while working with the NFL, Olympics, and numerous other training facilities.
