Kyle Kasperbauer & Stephanie Roy Win First-Ever Masters 35-39 Divisions at Reebok CrossFit Games

There isn’t much Kyle Kasperbauer hasn’t accomplished in his career as a CrossFit Games athlete. He’s competed at the Games in both Team and Individual divisions and took third overall at the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games, behind Rich Froning and Matt Chan.

Now, the coach and athlete out of CrossFit Kinesis is a Reebok CrossFit Games Champion, taking first overall in the highly competitive — and hotly anticipated — Men’s 35-39 year old Masters group. It’s the first-ever year for the new division, which featured Individual Games veterans Neal Maddox and Chris Spealler joining Kasperbauer on the podium.

On the women’s end, Canadian Stephanie Roy edged out Mayra Brant by just two points to take home the women’s championship in a race where the entire podium was up for grabs heading into the final event.

Individual Games veteran Rebecca Voigt — who last year set a record on consecutive Games appearances as an Individual in the Open division — came in 6th place overall.

The final podium standings for the Masters 35-39 divisions are below.

Women:

1. Stephanie Roy
2. Mayra Brandt
3. Joe Kimdon

Men:

1. Kyle Kasperbauer
2. Neal Maddox
3. Chris Spealler
