Mariusz Pudzianowski holds the record for most World’s Strongest Man (WSM) titles in history. He’s stood atop the podium of strongman‘s grandest stage on five separate occasions (2002-03, 2005, 2007-08). In his nine WSM Finals appearances, he only missed the podium twice — his debut in 2000, when he ranked fourth overall, and in 2004 when he was disqualified. In 2006 and 2009, he finished as the overall runner-up.
In his post-strongman life, Pudzianowski ventured into the world of mixed martial arts (MMA). His most recent fight occurred on Oct. 23, 2021, at the KSW 64 contest in the heavyweight division at age 44. He scored a knockout against Serigne Ousmane Dia in 18 seconds of the first round. Check out what is nearly the entire fight below, courtesy of KSW’s Instagram page. The referee’s decision to stop the fight comes following a sharp right cross to the chin of Ousmane Dia:

Pudzian Punch
It is not yet known when Pudzianowski will step back into the cage. When he does, he’ll have the momentum of a sensational first-round knock0ut against a fighter nearly 70 pounds heavier than him fueling him. Perhaps 2017 WSM champion Eddie Hall’s hopes will come true — that Pudzianowski will step into the ring with the winner of the Hafthor Björnsson versus Hall boxing match.
