Tia-Clair Toomey Shares Full Day of Eating During Her Pregnancy
The 2023 CrossFit season for the six-time Fittest Woman on Earth®, Tia Clair-Toomey, came to a close at the conclusion of the Individual Quarterfinals. Toomey competed in the 2023 CrossFit Open and Quarterfinals while pregnant and has vacated the functional fitness throne for at least one year.
However, as displayed by her performance in the first two stages of the CrossFit season, Toomey is not letting her pregnancy stop her from training in the gym or following a relatively clean diet. On March 5, 2023, Toomey published a video on her YouTube channel wherein she shared what a full day of eating looks like amidst her pregnancy. Check it out below:

Toomey’s breakfast consists of a bun or bagel topped with turkey bacon, purple onions, mushrooms, avocado, and eggs with hot sauce drizzle. During her pregnancy, Toomey has not tracked her food or followed any specific macronutrient plan.
Everything is based on how much I think is sufficient enough.
Unlike during prep for competition, when requisite calories are required to fuel her training, Toomey eats because she wants to when it’s time for a meal. Typically during training, Toomey would eat even if she wasn’t hungry because her plan called for it.

Toomey’s pre-workout meal is yogurt with pineapple and granola. Her training session in the early afternoon included rowing, kettlebell front squats, and elevated push-ups. Her intra-workout snacks included sliced apples, peanut butter and banana wraps, a Nutri-grain bar, fruit gummies, and an electrolyte pack.
Dinner at 6:00 p.m. featured a beef stir fry comprised of broccoli, carrots, onions, celery, garlic, ginger, and chili pepper. Toomey is “drawn to red meat” for her proteins and limits her pork intake. Dessert is a combination of coconut oil, coconut flakes, and dark chocolate chips with a sprinkle of salt.
