History was made at the 2021 Olympia when Francielle Mattos became the first Wellness Olympia champion. 2022 marked her shot at winning a second Olympia, but it was also historic for another reason: Last year in 2021, the contest featured one round, while this year features two. The finals for the contest will be held at the Friday night show in the Zappos Theater.
Pre-judging had to be held first, though, and it was at the Olympia Expo. Mattos faced 37 different challengers, including Wellness International winner Isabelle Nunes and last year’s Olympia runner-up Angela Borges. Those athletes and the rest of the field faced the judges and fans watching both in the building and on pay-per-view.
