Sean Noriega is a 23-year-old powerlifter who hit the competitive scene in 2013 at the age of 17 with a win at the International Powerlifting Association (IPA) Long Island Fall Fest after posting a 558kg/1,230lb total.
His most recent major win came in October of 2019 at the United States Powerlifting (USAPL) Raw Nationals where he placed first in the-83kg weight class of the Junior division with these stats:
- Squat — 270kg/595lb
- Bench Press — 205kg/452lb — competition best
- Deadlift — 312.5kg/689lb
- Total — 787.5kg/1,736lb
This total also secured Noriega a runner-up finish in the Open division of the same event. He did the same thing at the 2018 USAPL Raw Nationals — first in the Junior division, second in the Open division.
Noriega has been showing off some impressive cardio in his home gym as of late, specifically a set where he flew through 272kg/600lb — over three times his competition bodyweight — for a set of eight. Check out the entire set below from his Instagram page:

“This is 2.5 kg less than my PR as of a week ago, so I ain’t mad.”
Noriega also mentioned in his caption that his goal is to add two more reps and pull 272kg/600lb for ten. That would be 7kg/16lb above his current ten rep PR of 265kg/584lb which he hit a little over a week ago.
For those who missed that set, you can see it now below from Noriega’s Instagram page:
