IFBB Pro League Men’s Open bodybuilder Iain Valliere is ready to make a splash at his first event of the year. Valliere, who has yet to earn his 2022 Olympia qualification, will attempt to capture it by putting forth his best package at the upcoming 2022 Vancouver Pro on July 17, 2022.
Seven weeks out, 274 pounds.
Valliere is in the heat of preparation for the 2022 Vancouver Pro in British Columbia, Canada. The Men’s Open competitor hails from Ottawa, Canada but relocated to Florida in 2021. Earlier this year, the Canadian native announced his intentions to return to Vancouver on the Bro Chat podcast, hosted by retired professional bodybuilder Fouad Abiad. Valliere shared a promising physique update on June 2, 2022, and displayed a delicate balance between conditioning and muscularity. Check it out in Valliere’s Instagram post below:

The 2022 bodybuilding season is upon us with shows nearly every weekend — opportunities for athletes to punch their ticket to the Olympia in Las Vegas, NV, from Dec. 16-18, 2022. In order to qualify for the most prestigious event of the year, Valliere needs to either win a contest or earn a top-three position using the Olympia Qualification System.
The six athletes who placed ahead of Valliere from the 2021 Olympia, champion Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay, Brandon Curry, Hadi Choopan, Hunter Labrada, Nick Walker, and William Bonac are already qualified to compete at the 2022 event later this year. While the roster of athletes for the Vancouver Pro hasn’t been announced at the time of this article’s publication, it’s safe to assume Valliere will be in prime condition when he takes the stage.
According to the official Mr. Olympia website, Valliere has earned 10 points. Top performers in Justin Rodriguez and Steve Kuclo are leading the charge with 26 points and 21 points, respectively. Only the top three athletes with the highest number of points earn qualification for 2022 Olympia.

Iain Valliere’s 2021 Bodybuilding Season
In 2021, Valliere began his impressive season with a win at the 2021 Tampa Pro, defeating the likes of runner-up Phil Clahar and third-place finisher Charles Griffen. Despite clinching his invitation to the 2021 Olympia on his first show of the year, Valliere stayed active, competing at a handful of events and keeping his physique sharp.
Following the success he found on the east coast, Valliere entered the 2021 Texas Pro a week later. He won the event handily. With two victories in 2021, Valliere tried his hand at the 2021 Arnold Classic. He stepped on stage against one of the sport’s fastest rising stars in Walker. The heated battle concluded with Walker walking away victorious and Valliere in second. Valliere returned for his last show of the year at the 2021 Olympia contest, reaching a seventh-place finish — the same result he earned in 2020.
Valliere has seven weeks to make the necessary adjustments to further his quest toward the 2022 Olympia stage. The front lat spread in the recent update suggests Valliere plans to bring size, composure, and confidence to Vancouver.
