Rogue Fitness Announces Second Edition of the 50-Calorie Echo Bike Challenge
The first Rogue challenge of 2022 is here. On Jan 5, 2022, Rogue announced the second edition of the 50-calorie Echo Bike challenge. Participating athletes will attempt to burn 50 calories on an Echo Bike in the fastest time possible. This is the second time Rogue is hosting this particular challenge. It debuted as the first-ever Rogue challenge, originally announced on Nov. 30, 2020.
Rogue Fitness’ 50-Calorie Echo Bike Challenge Prizes
The top three finishers in two Men’s divisions and two Women’s divisions will receive the following cash prizes:
- Male 18 & Over
- $5,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $2,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $1,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- Male 17 & Under
- $1,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $500 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $250 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- Female 18 & Over
- $5,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $2,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $1,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- Female 17 & Under
- $1,000 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $500 and a Rogue Echo Bike
- $250 and a Rogue Echo Bike
Additionally, the top three gyms with the most entrants in the RX’d and Scaled divisions will receive a Rogue Echo Bike.

The results of the first 50-calorie Echo Bike challenge saw Nick Garcia (18 and up) and Brock Thrall (17 and under) victorious in the Men’s divisions. They burned 50 calories in 24 and 36 seconds, respectively. Taylor Williamson (18 and up) and Jadzia Onorati-Phillips (17 and under) scored wins in the Women’s divisions via times of 1:08 and 1:55, respectively. Here are the full results:

Aside from Williamson, the above winners’ times are the current records in their respective divisions. Gabriel Marzo Sitja holds the record in the Female 18 and over division with a time of 45 seconds.

Per Rogue, “anyone with access to an Echo Bike can take part” in the challenge. The entry fee is $10. Participants will record their attempts and submit their videos on the Beyond the White Board app. Registration begins on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022. The challenge lasts from Jan. 21, 2022, at 9 a.m. EST to Jan. 24, 2022, at 8 p.m. EST.
In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined via max watts output. If the contest is still tied, the athlete with a lower bodyweight will rank higher. Movement and video submission standards will be available on Jan. 20, 2022.
