If you follow professional strongman Eddie Hall on social media, then you’ve probably noticed that in some of his recent photos and videos that he’s looking leaner than usual. Well, if you thought, or assumed that he was looking lighter and lean, then you’re absolutely right.
Earlier today, Hall shared a transformation progress post that highlights an in-season competition photo and where he’s currently at today. We love strongman Transformation Tuesday posts, so it was only fitting we shared Hall’s latest side-by-side photos. In his left Instagram photo, Hall states to weigh around 196kg (432 lbs) and on the right he says he’s sitting at 172kg (379 lbs).
Now, before you say, “Big deal athletes are always dieting down/up, and paying more attention to their diet when in-season,” we get it, and completely acknowledge that. But it’s always cool seeing professional athletes, especially strongman competitors make their larger transitions, and in this case, it’s a 53 lb difference!
Check out Hall’s latest physique progress below.
In terms of end physique goals, Hall hasn’t shared many details about where’s he’s heading and wants to ultimately end up. For context, on July 5th, Hall shared his first physique update, which featured the right photo above as a stand alone Instagram post and in the description wrote,
“Sitting at 27 stone / 172kg / 380lbs this morning and feeling great, exciting times ahead with a few projects I’m working on in the TV world… I’m also starting to work with a new protein company more suited to my new career and it’s working really well. Will reveal all when I’v tried and tested the complete range and let you guys know.”
That’s context on his physique, but what about his diet? Hall hasn’t shared what he’s changed since dieting down, although he has shared a few meals on his Instagram page, which are often massive plates of meat.
And what about Hall’s in-season diet? Check out the video from a couple months ago that discusses Hall’s 12,500 calorie in-season diet.

Now our question (and probably yours, too), is when will Hall compete again? That answer is still up in the air, but we’re hoping it’s sometime in the near future!
