The 2022 Fédération Française de Force (FFForce) French Nationals took place on March 19, 2022, in Albi, France. French powerlifter Tiffany Chapon competed in the 47-kilogram weight class at a bodyweight of 46.9 kilograms and scored unofficial raw world records in the squat and total. Her squat of 155 kilograms eclipsed the world record held by Wei-Ling Chen by 2.5 kilograms. Chapon’s total exceeded the current world record also held by Chen by 10.5 kilograms.
Chapon is the second lifter in the weight class to unofficially break the world record total. Heather Connor of the USA did the same with a 410-kilogram (903.9-pound) total at the 2021 Ireland-UA ABS Pro. Since Chapon’s lifts were performed in a national contest rather than an international contest, they do not count as official world records but do count as French records. Here is Chapon’s full performance:

Chapon shared in the caption of her post that she was disappointed with missing her final squat and bench press attempts. Despite that, she still achieved the heaviest total in history for the raw 47-kilogram class. For context as to how heavy her lifts were, her French record deadlift was 3.6 times her body weight and her French record squat was 3.3 times her body weight.
According to Open Powerlifting, this contest was the eighth of the 20-year-old Chapon’s powerlifting career. She made her debut at the 2020 FFForce Silent Worker Meet, where she took gold with 280-kilogram total in the 43-kilogram weight class. Of her eight sanctioned competition appearances, Chapon has won six of them and finished as the runner-up in the other two.
Chapon stated that her “next step” is the 2022 International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Classic Championships, scheduled for June 6-12, 2022, in Sun City, South Africa. Should she repeat her total of 418 kilograms at that contest, she would officially claim the all-time world record.
