Cedric McMillan is not competing at the 2022 Arnold Classic. News of McMillan’s withdrawal started to circulate on Feb. 25, 2022. The Arnold Sports Festival confirmed directly to BarBend that McMillan is officially off the Men’s Open roster. At the time this article was published, McMillan has not made a statement. The ASF says McMillan withdrew due to personal health issues.
McMillan also withdrew from the 2020 Mr. Olympia and 2021 Arnold Classic contests due to injuries. He is the fifth athlete to withdraw from the 2022 Arnold Classic. The others are 2021 Arnold Classic UK champion Nathan De Asha, Mohamed Shaaban, Rafael Brandao, and Akim Williams.

McMillan won the Arnold Classic in 2017 and he has six victories overall as a professional. The most recent of those wins was at the 2019 Romania Muscle Fest Pro. His most recent competition was the 2021 Legion Sports Fest Pro, but he withdrew from the contest after prejudging for health reasons. (2020 Olympia 212 champion Shaun Clarida won the Legion Sports Fest Pro.)
McMillan has dealt with various injuries and health issues over the last two years. This is the second year in a row that McMillan has withdrawn from the Arnold Classic. In 2021, he joined the commentary team to call the action throughout the weekend, which was met with positive reviews.
