Day two of the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic (ASWC) got underway on the morning of March 1 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH, with the Big Jerk event — each of the 12 invited strongwomen established their max behind-the-neck press in four attempts or fewer.

Andrea Thompson led the field after the first three events, finishing as the runner-up in the Elephant Bar Deadlift and Overhead Gauntlet, and fifth in the Timber Carry.

2025 ASWC Big Jerk Recap

Dixson was first to the stage and opened cleanly at 90 kilograms. Stowers was second to the competition floor and matched Dixson’s weight. Underdown performing 90 kilograms seemed conservative for her, but she was on the board nonetheless.

Murray successfully opened at 105 kilograms. Lyle missed two attempts at 105 kilograms before scoring a shakey third rep. Roberts made 105 kilograms look like a warm-up.

Dixson returned to the stage — the athlete choosing to lift the lightest weight has priority — and locked out 105 kilograms. Stower had a bent left elbow with 105 kilograms overhead but stabilized and straightened it out for a good rep.

Underdown made easy work of 105 kilograms. Jardine cleanly opened 115 kilograms. Thompson chose to lift the bar in front of her head — push pressing 115 kilograms. Murray matched 115 kilograms.

Lyle released all of her hesitancy from the first lift and made clean work of 115 kilograms on her second attempt. Roberts split jerked 115 kilograms overhead to stay with the pack.

Dixson’s third attempt was at 115 kilograms, and the crowd’s roar helped her push through the grind to lock out. Stowers missed 115 kilograms twice before waving off. Underdown’s 115-kilogram lift was immaculate.

Peacock opened strong at 125 kilograms, though she was shakey stabilizing the weight overhead. Liashchuk appeared to nearly slip to her left when pushing 125 kilograms overhead but recovered to get on the scoreboard.

Jardine matched 125 kilograms on her second attempt with plenty left in the tank. Thompson’s 125-kilogram push press was too easy. Murray’s movement at 125 kilograms remained efficient and smooth.

Lyle’s third attempt was at 125 kilograms, and she had to dump the weight after failing to stabilize the weight overhead. She bowed out after missing a second attempt before the time cap whistle.

Roberts missed her first try at 125 kilograms but fought and saved her second try to secure the weight overhead. Dixson closed out her event by missing 125 kilograms twice.

Underdown seemed impressed with herself for locking out 125 kilograms, jumping for joy after receiving the down command, but the lift looked easy.

Belliveau finally took the stage with a pristine split squat jerk at 135 kilograms. Peacock used her second attempt to match Belliveau, as did Liashchuk and Jardine.

Thompson successfully push-pressed 135 kilograms. Murray missed two attempts at 135 kilograms before bowing off the stage. Roberts repeated what Murray did.

Carrasquillo was the last strongwoman on the stage, opening at 143 kilograms. Per to Sean Woodland’s commentary, it “went up like an empty barbell. ” Belliveau tried to match it but failed at the last moment after dumping the weight before stabilizing the lockout.

Peacock did almost what Belliveau did identically and did so twice. Liashchuk’s 143-kilogram lift looked messy, but the head judge, Magnus Ver Magnusson, gave it to her.

Jardine couldn’t move 143 kilograms from the shoulders, nor could Thompson. Carrasquillo made 150 kilograms look easy. Liashchuk failed to match her by refusing her final attempt. Carrasquillo returned to lift 160 kilograms for a new record and locked it out to the crowd’s roar.
