The third post-Olympia bodybuilding show of 2021 takes place in Cairo, Egypt, on Sunday, Oct. 31. The KO Pro show will host four IFBB Pro League divisions (Men’s Open, 212, Classic Physique, and Men’s Physique) to determine who will add their names to the list of qualified athletes for the 2022 Olympia next December in Las Vegas, NV.

The Open lineup features 16 competitors, including seven from the host country. Four men were onstage at the Olympia in Orlando, FL, from Oct. 8-9. The complete list of Men’s Open athletes currently scheduled to compete is below. Due to travel restrictions internationally, the lineup may change before the contest takes place.

Men’s Open Athletes to Watch
Here are four Men’s Open competitors primed to stand out among their peers.
Regan Grimes
Grimes may have finished 15th at the Olympia, but he redeemed himself at the Legion Sports Fest on Oct. 24 by placing second to 212 champion Shaun Clarida. If Grimes shows up to Eygpt in the same shape, he’s a serious contender for the top spot. Grimes stepped onto the stage at around 250 pounds at the Legion Sports Fest, conditioned and with full muscles. The only question is if the travel affects the way he looks on stage.

Mohamed Shaaban
Two-time Mr. Olympia Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssibay wasn’t the only Egyptian athlete in the lineup who considered the Olympia a success. Shaaban qualified for the Olympia on points, and he finished in 10th place.
The KO Pro will be Shaaban’s sixth contest in 2021, and he has shown signs of consistent improvement. Grimes was noticeably off at the Olympia, but that doesn’t mean Shaaban can’t beat him again. If he is on, the “Silent Killer” can leave as the champion in Cairo.
Hassan Mostafa
Mostafa is a large competitor, and his muscles have a great shape to them. He finished 13th at the Olympia, and he is still searching for his first pro victory. Achieving his first pro win in his home country would be a big confidence booster. Mostafa may need to sacrifice a little size to come in as ripped as possible, but doing so could help him counter the shape that Grimes presents.
Cedric McMillan
McMillan may have added his name to the lineup with hopes of redeeming himself after withdrawing from the Legion Sports Fest due to illness. He’s one of the veterans in the sport, but the former Arnold Classic champ should still be considered among the favorites in any show he enters. When he’s at his best, he’s nearly untouchable. McMillan will likely be in the first callout if he recovered enough that he feels confident in competing.
