The 2022 IFBB Pro League Legion Sports Fest bodybuilding show took place on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, and a one-time 212 competitor has won the Men’s Open contest for the second straight year.
Former 212 Olympia champion Shaun Clarida won this contest in 2021. This year, Tonio Burton has claimed his first Open win and is now qualified for the 2022 Mr. Olympia contest as an Open competitor. The top 10 for the Men’s Open show are below.
2022 Legion Sports Fest — Men’s Open Results

Winner — Tonio Burton
Burton has competed in the 212 and scored a pro victory in his debut at the 2021 Indy Pro. Coincidentally, Justin Rodriguez won the Men’s Open at that show. At the 2022 Legions Sports Fest, they went head-to-head, which was close in prejudging. Burton only had a one-point lead going into the finals. However, his muscles appeared fuller in the finals, while Rodriguez looked similar to the way he presented his physique in the first round. Thus, Burton got the victory.
Second Place — Justin Rodriguez
Rodriguez was the favorite going into this contest, so he is likely not pleased with taking second. There is good news for him, though. He added six points to his total on the Olympia Qualification System, putting him at 32 points. That makes him first in the standings, and there are only four more contests left in the season before the cutoff date of Nov. 20, 2022. While it isn’t official, it is very likely that Rodriguez will move on to the 2022 Olympia thanks to this result.
Third Place — Rasheed Oldacre
Oldacre is the 2016 NPC USA Super-Heavyweight Champion, but this is his first full season competing since 2018. He was seventh in the 2022 Orlando Pro. He was much leaner at this contest, and it is his highest placing as a professional.
