Men’s Physique Athletes to Watch
Below are three Men’s Physique athletes who are expected to contend for the podium in first callouts:
Joshua Guidry
This is Joshua Guidry’s fifth contest of the 2023 season, of which he has yet to rank worse than fourth. He needs to win a pro show to reach the Olympia stage. Since the qualifying cutoff date is Oct. 9, 2023, he only has this contest and the following weekend to gold. His most recent show was the 2023 Titans Grand Prix, where he finished third overall.
Clarence McSpadden Jr.
Clarence McSpadden Jr. is in his second pro season. He’s coming off a second-place finish at the 2023 Texas Pro, one of the three shows this season that he’s ranked in the top five of. He seeks both his first win and first Olympia qualification in Daytona Beach.
Brett Mario Jackson
This is Brett Mario Jackson’s fifth contest of the 2023 season and could be considered the dark horse for this contest. If any of the other favorites are even slightly off the mark, Jackson could snag the win. Jackson’s most recent show was the 2023 Miami Muscle Beach Pro, where he ranked eighth overall. He finished sixth overall in the 2022 Daytona Pro.

Bikini Division Athletes to Watch
The Bikini division is stacked, but here are three standouts to keep close attention to:
Janine Herrera
Janine Herrera is a Masters competitor who has proven herself as a contender in Open shows. The 2023 Bikini Masters Olympia runner-up placed as high as fourth this season in Open shows. This is her third pro season; she seeks her first Olympia qualification.
Ndeye Ndour
Rookie Ndeye Ndour turned pro earlier in the 2023 season and has already competed four times since. Her highest finish was bronze in the 2023 San Antonio Pro and 2023 World Klash Pro.
Ndour gains experience and knowledge with each show that she has clearly applied to each subsequent contest. Ndour’s rookie season is almost over, and she intends to finish it on the Olympia stage.
Jessica Nicole Dolias
Jessica Nicold Dolias was the runner-up to Daraja Hill at the 2023 Janet Layug Battle of the Bodies show and fourth at the 2023 Iron Games Pro show. Dolias hasn’t won a pro show yet, but the physique she presented at her most recent contest was certainly her best package yet. If she wins in Daytona Beach, her Olympia debut will be in Orlando.
