Classic Physique Athletes to Watch
Below are three household names in the bodybuilding world who are likely to contend for the podium in Dubai:
Terrence Ruffin
The most anticipated contest for this show is the Classic Physique division. Two-time Arnold Classic Physique champion Terrence Ruffin is among the athletes on the roster making his 2023 season debut.
Ruffin’s last appearance onstage was at the 2022 Classic Physique Olympia, where he finished in sixth place. He has yet to qualify for the Olympia, making this show a must-win for him. If he shows the definition he is known for and matches it with his incredible posing, he can certainly take the win.
Wesley Vissers
The 2023 Europa Pro Classic Physique winner was Wesley Vissers. Even though he’s qualified for the Olympia, he can potentially block Ruffin from the 2023 Olympia by defeating Ruffin in this show.
Vissers is the larger of the two and is no slouch in the posing department, either. Regardless of how Vissers places, he will remain qualified for the 2023 Olympia.

Denis Romanov
This will be Denis Romanov’s fourth show of the 2023 season. He has finished in the top five of all three previous shows, with his highest finish being third at the 2023 AGP South Korea Classic Physique Pro. Romanov qualified for the 2022 Olympia but didn’t compete. So, if he wins and qualifies this year, his Olympia would be in Orlando.
