Men’s Wheelchair Athletes to Watch

Any of the athletes in the Wheelchair division could contend for the podium in Texas. Three likely first callouts to keep an eye on are below:

Bradley Betts

Betts is the two-time and defending champion of this show. The 2022 win allowed him to compete in the 2022 Olympia, where he placed tenth. Harold Kelley won his fifth title in that contest in Las Vegas, NV.

Those two wins are the only two Betts has to his credit so far in his four-year career. He aims to three-peat appearances at the Olympia as he competed at the Olympia in 2021 and 2022.

Tyler Brey

Brey was the runner-up to Betts in the 2022 edition of this contest. Brey ranked seventh in the Wheelchair Olympia. He turned pro in 2018, but he has yet to win a contest in his pro career.

Jason Metcalf

Metcalf made his pro debut at the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow with a bronze medal. Competing less than a month after that contest could be an advantage if he maintained contest shape. If he wins this show, he will qualify for the Olympia for the first time.

Bikini Athletes to Watch

Below are three athletes in the Bikini division who have a high chance of scoring well in first callouts:

Brittany Gillespie

Gillespie has competed three times this season, and she’s determined to get that win so she could move on to the Olympia. Her best finish so far is a second-place result at the 2023 Klash Series Pro.

Jordan Fisher

Fisher will make her 2023 debut at this contest. She competed in the 2022 Bikini Olympia but finished outside the top 15. She is the defending champion of this contest, which was her first and only win so far in her short career.

Elisabet Vang

Elisabet Vang has competed twice this season with very different results. She was 11th overall at the 2023 Nevada State Pro but elevated to third place at the 2023 Mile High Pro.

Vang is in her second pro season and still looking for her first pro victory. This will be her third contest in less than a month.
