Men’s Physique Favorites
Below are the athletes in Men’s Physique who could make a run for the podium and earn an Olympia qualification:
Corey Morris
The second-place finisher at the 2023 Memphis Pro is moving on to this contest because he knows that only winners can earn qualification for the Olympia at this stage of the season.
Morris won two contests in 2022 and placed eighth in the 2022 Men’s Physique Olympia. Winning this show would allow him over six months to prepare for the 2023 Olympia.
Benquil Marigny
Marigny finished one spot behind Morris in Memphis but won three pro shows in 2022. He ranked out of the top 15 at the 2022 Olympia. Marigny ranked ninth in the 2021 edition of this contest.
Blake Alexander
Alexander won his IFBB pro card at the 2021 NPC North American Championships. He competed twice in 2022, scoring his highest placing at the Mile High Pro — second to winner Derrick Stevenson.
Alexander showed great potential at that contest and has had over nine months to improve. The unknown may serve him well to impress the judges.
Other Notes
All three divisions — Men’s Physique, Figure, and Bikini — will have Masters Over 40 shows. The winners can compete in the Open shows if they choose, but only Open winners qualify for the 2023 Olympia.
