The 2024 Border States XLV Pro is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, in San Diego, CA. This Men’s Physique show will award a qualification to the 2025 Men’s Physique Olympia to the winner if they were not previously qualified.
Fourteen competitors are scheduled to take the stage for pre-judging at this event, promoted by Tamer El Guindy. Thirteen of them represent the United States; Rafael Oliveira, representing Brazil, is the outlier. The lineup is below, with names in alphabetical order:

Athletes to Watch
This is a wide-open contest, but these three men are among the most likely to be in the first callout.
Aundre Benson
Aundre Benson was among the athletes competing in the 2024 Men’s Physique Olympia in Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 12. He finished that contest tied for 16th. His last win came at the 2024 Los Angeles Grand Prix Pro.
Reuben Glass
Glass won the 2024 Vancouver Pro and finished tied for 16th at the 2024 Olympia. If he wins and qualifies for the 2025 Olympia, it will be his fourth straight season qualifying for that event.
Rafael Oliveira
Rafael Oliveira is also trying to score an early 2025 Olympia qualification so he can take an extended offseason to prepare. Oliveira is familiar with San Diego because it was the site of his last win, the 2024 Pacific USA XXX Pro, in August 2024.
Other Notes
Two other Men’s Physique competitions are taking place this particular weekend. The 2024 Hurricane Pro will be held in St. Petersburg, FL, and the 2024 British Championships Pro will be held in Rotherham, England. Both of these events are also 2025 Olympia qualifiers.
