2024 CrossFit Games: Everything We Know (So Far)

July 31, 2024 by Teaganne Finn

We’re a few days away from the start of the 2024 CrossFit Games, which will be held this year in Fort Worth, TX.

  • There will be plenty of time for jokes about “first rodeos,” but it’s definitely not the first rodeo for Dave Castro and the Crossfit Games team. This is the 18th iteration of the sport’s pinnacle event.

Reminder: Stay tuned to our 2024 CrossFit Games leaderboard for live results and event recaps.

The details: The CrossFit Games team has been slowly releasing details of the event and we’re keeping our readers on top of all of the developments.

2024 CrossFit Games Dates and Tickets

The 2024 CrossFit Games will go from Thursday, August 8, to Sunday, August 11.

  • We know that the first event will start at 7 a.m. on August 8, and the athletes will swim in Marine Creek Lake.

Tickets: Tickets are needed to attend the four-day event. Ticketmaster is sold out, as of Tuesday, July 30.

  • However, other online ticket sellers, such as Vivid Seats and StubHub, seem to still have some available. Check the Known & Knowable Ticket Tracker for more.

Fans hoping to enjoy the CrossFit Spectator Experience will need a ticket (it is a FREE ticket, but necessary for entry). Get tickets here.

2024 CrossFit Games Location (On-Site and Off-Site)

The Games take place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX. However, readers should know there will be two off-site events.

  • The four-mile “Run Swim” event was announced as the first event. The details on distances of each part are still unknown and very on brand for a Dave Castro-programmed competition.
  • A Friday Night Lights event is scheduled for August 9 at Farrington Field, and the public is welcome to attend. The field is a four-minute drive from Dickies Arena or a 20-minute walk.

The Bottom Line

We’re one week out from the Games, and many details are still being ironed out. However, every detail we have we’re sharing with our readers and keeping you all informed in the days leading up to the main event.
