The 2024 Musclecontest Rio Pro Men’s Physique show will occur on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 2023 edition of this contest featured the Bikini division, but it will have a new division on center stage in 2024.
Fourteen competitors entered this show hoping to win and qualify for the 2025 Men’s Physique Olympia, which is part of the 2025 Olympia weekend. The date and location of the 2025 Olympia have yet to be announced.

Athletes to Watch
This show has no obvious favorites, but these three men will likely be in the judges’ first callout.
Felipe Goncalves
Felipe Goncalves was second to Emmanuel Costa at the 2024 Musclecontest Goiania Pro on Aug. 31, 2024. Even though Costa was the clear winner in that contest, Goncalves showed tremendous potential for future contests. A win here would enable him to take an extended off-season before the 2025 Olympia.
Lucas Lage
Fans last saw Lucas Lage onstage at the 2024 Musclecontest Brasilia Pro, where he finished in fifth place. He is likelier to be noticed by the judges in a contest like this, so his odds of a top finish are favorable. He finished in the top five of his most recent two contests.
Fabio Campos
Fabio Campos finished in the top six at the 2023 Musclecontest Goiania Pro — his highest placing thus far. He did not compete in the 2024 season. The extended off-season may have served him well as long as he makes no mistakes in the final stages of prep.
Other Notes
This is one of BLANK Men’s Physique shows happening worldwide this weekend. The others are at the Daytona Pro in Daytona Beach, FL, the AGP Pro All Stars event in Gyeonggi State, South Korea, and the Legion Sports Fest Pro in Reno, NV. Those are also the 2025 Olympia qualifying shows.
