2025 Atlas Strongman Classic Results

Laurens LaPiere wins gold in Ghent.

The 2025 Atlas Strongman Classic competition occurred in Ghent, Belgium, on Jan. 26, 2025. It featured 13 athletes representing five countries competing in five events: Block Press Medley, Dinnie Stone Medley, Bag Toss Medley, DOTS Squat, and Sandbag Loading Race.

Laurens LaPiere of the host country achieved the top spot on the podium, scoring 59 of a possible 65 points, besting runner-up Siebe Janssen of the Netherlands by a single point.

  1. Laurens LaPiere (BEL) — 59 points
  2. Siebe Janssen (NED) — 58 points
  3. Viatcheslav Koda (BEL) — 47 points
  4. Maël Jacquemet (FRA) — 41 points
  5. Bartosz Szczepankiewicz (POL) — 40 points
  6. Edgardo Landaverde (BEL) — 36 points
  7. Per Berns (NED) — 36 points
  8. Joni Alles (BEL) — 30 points
  9. Danilo Podkrajac (NED) — 28 points

Below are the results for each of the events contested in Ghent:

Block Press Medley

Each strongman had 75 seconds to lift 110, 120, 100, and 100-kilogram blocks overhead as fast as possible:

  1. Siebe Janssen — Four in 36.83 seconds
  2. Viatcheslav Koda — Four in 45.82 seconds
  3. Laurens LaPiere — Four in 46.59 seconds
  4. Bartosz Szczepankiewicz — Three in 24.2 seconds
  5. Jeremie Godret — Three in 31.89 seconds
  6. Per Berns — Three in 33.75 seconds
  7. Maël Jacquemet — Three in 37.39 seconds
  8. Danilo Podkrajac — Three in 38.17 seconds
  9. Edgardo Landaverde — Three in 75 seconds
  10. Joni Alles — One in 4.21 seconds
  11. Niels Vunderink — One in 5.33 seconds
  12. Sascha Nijs — One in 5.38 seconds
  13. Louka Konings — One in 13.11 seconds

Dinnie Stone Medley

Athletes were allotted 75 seconds to traverse 225-kilogram and 221-kilogram Dinnie Stones 20 meters and then another 19 meters as quickly as possible:

  1. Laurens LaPiere — 34.82 seconds
  2. Siebe Janssen — 49.87 seconds
  3. Viatcheslav Koda — 52.54 seconds
  4. Niels Vunderink — 54.67 seconds
  5. Maël Jacquemet — 73.56 seconds
  6. Danilo Podkrajac — 75 seconds
  7. Louka Konings — 38.21 meters
  8. Edgardo Landaverde — 33.86 meters
  9. Per Berns — 32.29 meters
  10. Joni Alles — 31.5 meters
  11. Bartosz Szczepankiewicz — 29.28 meters
  12. Sascha Nijs — 27.65 meters
  13. Jeremie Godret — 24.95 meters

Bag Toss Medley

Strongmen took turns tossing six bags weighing 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 kilograms over a 4.2-meter bar in the fastest possible time with a 60-second time cap:

  1. Siebe Janssen — Six in 37.93 seconds
  2. Laurens LaPiere — Five in 14.7 seconds
  3. Bartosz Szczepankiewicz — Four in 12.58 seconds
  4. Edgardo Landaverde — Four in 21.17 seconds
  5. Per Berns — Three in 10.07 seconds
  6. Joni Alles — Three in 18.35 seconds
  7. Louka Konings — Three in 24.9 seconds
  8. Viatcheslav Koda — Two in 8.97 seconds
  9. Danilo Podkrajac — Two in 22.08 seconds
  10. Niels Vunderink — Two in 22.69 seconds
  11. Sascha Nijs — Two in 27.12 seconds
  12. Maël Jacquemet — Two in 32.56 seconds
  13. Jeremie Godret — no lift

DOTS Squat

Each strongman attempted to establish their top squat using the DOTS — a system used to compare lifts adjusted for body weight:

  1. Maël Jacquemet — 166.53 points
  2. Bartosz Szczepankiewicz — 160.95 points
  3. Laurens LaPiere — 154.39 points
  4. Edgardo Landaverde — 151.67 points
  5. Viatcheslav Koda — 151.01 points
  6. Per Berns — 144.18 points
  7. Siebe Janssen — 142.33 points
  8. Danilo Podkrajac — 141.98 points
  9. Niels Vunderink — 136.31 points
  10. Louka Konings — 125.48 points
  11. Joni Alles — 123.27 points
  12. Sascha Nijs — 99.67 points
  13. Jeremie Godret — 36.68 points

Sandbag Loading Race

With 90 seconds on the clock, each strongman loaded five sandbags for their corresponding distances: 90 kilograms for 1.8 meters, 100 kilograms for 1.6 meters, 120 kilograms for 1.4 meters, 140 kilograms for 1.2 meters, and 150 kilograms for one meter:

  1. Siebe Janssen — Five in 40.57 seconds
  2. Laurens LaPiere — Five in 44.89 seconds
  3. Joni Alles — Five in 48.64 seconds
  4. Maël Jacquemet — Five in 58.19 seconds
  5. Viatcheslav Koda — Five in 62.96 seconds
  6. Sascha Nijs — Four in 32.72 seconds
  7. Louka Konings — Four in 42.92 seconds
  8. Per Berns — Four in 84.52 seconds
