2025 Ireland’s Strongest Woman Results

The 2025 Ireland’s Strongest Woman (ISW) contest occurred on March 16, 2025, in Galway, Ireland. A trio of Ireland’s elite athletes competed in the Open contest, two in the Masters division, six in the U64KG class, and three in the U73KG and U82KG divisions.

Gemma Moore stood atop the podium in the Open division, scoring 12.5 of a possible 15 points through the five events: Max Axle, Deadlift for Reps, Duck Walk Power Stairs, Farmer’s Hold, and Sandbag Carry.

2025 Ireland’s Strongest Woman Results

Below are the results for each division:

Open

  1. Gemma Moore — 12.5 points
  2. Aisling Cunningham — 10 points
  3. Nicole McMillan — 7.5 points

Master

  1. Gail McComiskey — Eight points
  2. Michell Pilkington — Four points

U64KG

  1. Eilis McGrath — 24 points
  2. Maeve Frawley — 22 points
  3. Jessica Andrews — 20 points
  4. Vikki McCrory — 17 points
  5. Niamh Magner — 12.5 points
  6. Linda Long — 9.5 points

U73KG

  1. Megan Jennings — 12.5 points
  2. Maria Efimenko — 9.5 points
  3. Mairead McCormack — Four points

U82KG

  1. Jade Harkin — 12.5 points
  2. Sorcha Foy — Eight points
  3. Sharon Williamson — 7.5 points

Max Axle — Open

  1. Gemma Moore — 90 kilograms (T-first)
  2. Nicole McMillan — 90 kilograms (T-first)
  3. Aisling Cunningham — 85 kilograms

Deadlift for Reps — Open

Athletes deadlifted either 170 or 190 kilograms. One rep with the heavier weight outranked any number of reps with the lighter weight.

  1. Aisling Cunningham — 190 kilograms, 12 reps
  2. Gemma Moore — 190 kilograms, Nine reps
  3. Nicole McMillan — 190 kilograms, Four reps

Duck Walk Power Stairs — Open

Each strongwoman handled five implements weighing five, five, 130, 130, and 130 kilograms.

  1. Aisling Cunningham — Five in 15.4 seconds
  2. Gemma Moore — Five in 16.63 seconds
  3. Nicole McMillan — Five in 22.2 seconds

Farmer’s Hold — Open

A static hold with 100 kilograms.

  1. Gemma Moore — 55.6 seconds
  2. Nicole McMillan — 47.19 seconds
  3. Aisling Cunningham — 44.2 seconds

Sandbag Carry — Open

Each athlete traversed max distance with 100 kilograms.

  1. Gemma Moore — 76.4 meters

Max Axle — Masters

  1. Gail McComiskey — no lift
