2025 Moscow Sports Cup Results

Alexander Klokov triumphs!

The 2025 Moscow Sports Cup strongman contest occurred on May 31, 2025, in Moscow, Russia. The competition featured nine athletes, all representing the home country, battling through six events: Overhead Medley, Loading Race, Deadlift Hold, Sandbag Toss, Shield Carry, and Stone Over Bar.

Alexander Klokov emerged victorious, securing 45.5 of a possible 54 points. It is his first regional competition win.

  2. Valentin Akimov — 44.5 points
  3. Roman Druzhinin — 36 points
  4. Dmitrii Samoilov — 35 points
  5. Evgeny Konovalov — 32 points

  7. Artem Yuriev — 21 points
  8. Alexander Kuzmin — 12 points
  9. Egor Makarov — 11 points

2025 Moscow Sports Cup Event Results

Below are the results for each of the six events contested in Moscow:

Overhead Medley

The Overhead Medley consisted of five implements to be lifted within 90 seconds: a 130-kilogram log press, a 130-kilogram axle press, a 140-kilogram log press, a 100-kilogram dumbbell press, and a 110-kilogram dumbbell press.

  1. Roman Druzhinin — Five in 46.41 seconds
  2. Dmitrii Samoilov — Five in 48.5 seconds
  3. Ramil Ramazanov — Five in 60.25 seconds
  4. Alexander Klokov — Five in 66.34 seconds
  5. Valentin Akimov — Four in 36.87 seconds
  6. Alexander Kuzmin — Four in 38.21 seconds
  7. Evgeny Konovalov — Two in 14.73 seconds
  8. Artem Yuriev — Two in 36.31 seconds
  9. Egor Makarov — Two in 69.71 seconds

Loading Race

The Loading Race featured three implements to be loaded as fast as possible within one minute: a 90-kilogram tire, a 100-kilogram tire, and a 120-kilogram sack.

  1. Alexander Klokov — Three in 29.38 seconds
  2. Dmitrii Samoilov — Three in 29.57 seconds
  3. Roman Druzhinin — Three in 32.06 seconds
  4. Valentin Akimov — Three in 32.15 seconds
  5. Evgeny Konovalov — Three in 34.22 seconds
  6. Ramil Ramazanov — Three in 34.31 seconds
  7. Artem Yuriev — Three in 42.72 seconds
  8. Alexander Kuzmin — Three in 43.43 seconds
  9. Egor Makarov — Three in 49.97 seconds

Deadlift Hold

Athletes held 150 kilograms per hand for time.

  1. Alexander Klokov — 65.81 seconds
  2. Evgeny Konovalov — 61.93 seconds
  3. Valentin Akimov — 53.66 seconds
  4. Egor Makarov — 46.5 seconds
  5. Artem Yuriev — 43.97 seconds
  6. Dmitrii Samoilov — 43.94 seconds
  7. Roman Druzhinin — 42.87 seconds
  8. Ramil Ramazanov — 31.56 seconds
  9. Alexander Kuzmin — 24.15 seconds

Sandbag Toss

Each strongman tossed 16 kilograms for distance.

  1. Valentin Akimov — 11.92 meters (T-first)
  2. Evgeny Konovalov — 11.92 meters (T-first)
  3. Alexander Klokov — 10.67 meters
  4. Ramil Ramazanov — 10.15 meters
  5. Alexander Kuzmin — 9.95 meters
  6. Artem Yuriev — 9.51 meters
  7. Roman Druzhinin — Nine meters
  8. Dmitrii Samoilov — 8.96 meters
  9. Egor Makarov — 8.4 meters

Shield Carry

Athletes carried a 140-kilogram shield for distance.

  1. Valentin Akimov — 90 meters
  2. Roman Druzhinin — 87.5 meters
  3. Alexander Klokov — 62.5 meters
  4. Dmitrii Samoilov — 55 meters (T-fourth)
  5. Ramil Ramazanov — 55 meters (T-fourth)
  6. Artem Yuriev — 50 meters
  7. Evgeny Konovalov — 42.5 meters
  8. Alexander Kuzmin — no lift
  9. Egor Makarov — 12.5 meters

Stone Over Bar

Athletes had 90 seconds to lift a 135-kilogram stone over the bar for as many reps as possible.

  1. Valentin Akimov — Seven reps
  2. Alexander Klokov — Six reps
  3. Roman Druzhinin — Four reps
  4. Dmitrii Samoilov — Six reps
  5. Evgeny Konovalov — Three reps (T-fifth)
  6. Ramil Ramazanov — Three reps (T-fifth)
  7. Artem Yuriev — Two reps
  8. Alexander Kuzmin — no lift
  9. Egor Makarov — no lift
