2023 Official Strongman Games Marks the Return of JF Caron

The Masters (ages 40-49) strongman division is stacked.

The 2023 Official Strongman Games (OSG) are scheduled for Dec. 1-3, 2023, at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, WV.

Among those competing in the Men’s Masters 40+ division is nine-time Canada’s Strongest Man (CSM) JF Caron, returning to the competitive stage after recovering from injuries sustained at the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic. Below is that division’s roster:

2023 Official Strongman Games Events

Two events will be featured each day of the three-day competition:

Day One

  • Stand or Submit Press Medley
  • Stix and Stone Carry

Day Two

  • Deadlift Ladder
  • GORUCK Survival Challenge

Day Three

  • Sandbag Toss
  • Atlas Stone Series

Additional details regarding each event, such as the weight of the implements, has not yet been revealed at the time of this article’s publication, except for the Atlas Stones:

The weights for each of the six Atlas Stones used for each division are as follows:

Men’s Open

  • Stone One — 136 kilograms (300 pounds)
  • Stone Two — 147.5 kilograms (325 pounds)
  • Stone Three — 159 kilograms (350 pounds)
  • Stone Four — 170 kilograms (375 pounds)
  • Stone Five — 181.5 kilograms (400 pounds)
  • Stone Six — 193 kilograms (425 pounds)

Men’s 105KG

  • Stone One — 125 kilograms (275 pounds)
  • Stone Two — 136 kilograms (300 pounds)
  • Stone Three — 147.5 kilograms (325 pounds)
  • Stone Four — 159 kilograms (350 pounds)
