The 2023 edition of the Shawn Ray Hawaiian Classic was held on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, in Honolulu, HI. Classic Physique, Bikini, and Wellness divisions were on the marquee for this show, and the fans weren’t disappointed in the action they saw.
The big winner was Ashley Kaltwasser, who added to her record win total with her 42nd career victory in the Bikini division. Logan Franklin took the Classic Physique gold, and the Wellness gold went to Hye Yoon Kim.

Classic Physique Winner — Logan Franklin
Franklin won this contest in 2021 and won again in convincing fashion with unanimous first-place votes on the scorecards. This win makes him eligible to compete in the 2024 Olympia in Las Vegas, NV, on Oct. 10-13, 2024.
Bikini Winner — Ashley Kaltwasser
The 15-athlete lineup for Bikini was the largest of any at this pro show. Kaltwasser was already qualified for the 2024 Bikini Olympia by placing third in the 2023 Bikini Olympia in Orlando, FL, in addition to her lifetime invite as a former Olympia champion.
Wellness Winner — Hye Yoon Kim
Hye Yoon Kim ranked sixth in the 2022 edition of this contest. She claimed her redemption with the gold one year later. Chenqui Liu of China made her first pro appearance in two years and left the stage with a silver medal for her efforts.
