Men’s Physique Athletes to Watch
Below are Men’s Physique competitors likely to contend for the podium:
Mauro Fialho
Mauro Fialho of Spain was in the 2023 Men’s Physique Olympia, but he finished tied for 16th place. The winner of that contest was Ryan Terry. Fialho’s victory at the 2023 1 Bro Pro show is his only win in the pro ranks thus far. This will be his 2024 season debut, his fourth pro season.
Rui Liu
This will be Rui Liu’s IFBB Pro League debut. His last amateur contest was the 2023 NPC Worldwide Amateur Olympia Spain event, where he won the overall Men’s Physique title.
Liu would not be the first athlete to win his pro debut to qualify for the Olympia, but it is challenging to do so in a lineup as large and as stacked as this. If he reaches the first callout, that would be a noteworthy accomplishment.
Dawid Wachelka
Dawid Wachelka is the host country favorite, making his 2024 season debut. He was most recently onstage at the 2023 Prague Pro, where he finished sixth place.
Wachelka has been a pro since 2017 but has not competed in Olympia since 2018 when he finished outside the top 15.
