The 2024 Shaw Classic Open will occur in Loveland, CO, on Aug. 16-18, 2024. In addition to the competitions featuring various weight classes for strongmen and strongwomen, the 2024 Strongest Man on Earth (SMoE) contest will kick off the event.
The 2024 SMoE will crown a new champion as the defending champion; the event’s namesake, Brian Shaw, will not compete. Sixteen of the world’s best strongmen will contend for the static-strength-leaning contest.

- Fingal’s Fingers Into Power Stairs Medley — head-to-head format
Notable details about the 2024 Shaw Classic and, thereby, the 2024 SMoE are the removal of the Hummer Tire Deadlift event and the replacement of the Atlas Stones with the Manhood Stones. The former is typically an event for time using five or six implements. The latter will rank athletes by weight lifted. The heaviest Manhood Stone is 600 pounds — 30 shy of the current world record held by Tom Stoltman.
2024 Shaw Classic
15x World’s Strongest Man (WSM) competitor Terry Hollands will be among the commentary team alongside 2016 Europe’s Strongest Man (ESM) Laurence Shahlaei. Hollands’ was confirmed to voice the goings-on of the 2024 Shaw Classic on July 18, 2024.
Other special guests to be featured at the 2024 Shaw Classic Expo include Jon “Jujimufu” Call, 2022 Shaw Classic Open champion Victoria Long, and nutritionist Nathan Payton.
