The official bag partner for HYROX, Built for Athletes (BFA), recently announced their exclusive four-piece collection for the 2024/25 season. It includes a 35L pro backpack, a 60L duffel bag, a crossbody bag, and a keychain. However, that isn’t the only new items to hit BFA’s online shelves.

On Aug. 28, 2024, BFA released their first-ever rucking backpack. Officially known as the Rucking 10L Gym Backpack, it is currently available online for $210. Its features include:

Built for Athletes — Rucking 10L Gym Backpack Features

  • 10L capacity with multiple compartments, pouches, and zip pockets
  • Reinforced seaming
  • Large hook and loop section
  • Large internal hook and loop strips to its back wall to secure flat weight plate of up to 10 kilograms (30cm x 24cm x 2cm)
  • All compartments to have two-way opening YKK® Japanese zips and upgraded extra-durable plastic hardware
  • Laser Cut Molle construction
  • Adjustable sternum straps
  • Carry handle on top with a heavy-duty popper
  • Made from CorduraⓇ quad stitched fibers
  • Distributed back panel to spread load evenly
  • Water-resistant and rip-proof fabric
  • Stain-resistant coating
  • Premium ergonomic shoulder straps with sweat-reduction technology
  • Weight tested up to 25 kilograms

Rucking (walking or running with a weighted backpack) has numerous benefits for physiological health. Rucking consistently for five years has shown to maintain hip bone mineral density by preventing significant bone loss. Additionally, rucking can improve “squat jump maximal force, push-ups, sit-ups, and estimated maximal oxygen uptake.” (1)(2)
