The final event of the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic (ASWC) in Columbus, OH, was the Stone-to-Shoulder. Inez Carrasquillo stood atop the leaderboard entering the event, knowing she had to play defense to score her first ASWC title.
Carrasquillo had plenty of room to play with. Olga Liashchuck was 5.5 points back in second place, meaning Carrasquillo only needed to place within five ranks of Liashchuck in the final event to claim the crown.

2025 ASWC Stone-to-Shoulder Recap
Each athlete attempted to lift a stone for as many reps as possible within two minutes. They could lift a heavier stone that would outrank any number of reps with the lighter alternative at 250 pounds.
Stowers was the first to the stage but could not lift the heavier stone. With a minute on the clock, she attempted to lift the 250-pound stone and scored a rep before waving to the crowd.
Peacock was second to the stage and went straight to the 250-pound stone. She secured a fast first rep and a second with a minute remaining on her clock. She missed her third and fourth attempts but set the mark to beat.
Dixson failed to secure a lift and bowed out. Murray made several valiant attempts, cleaning the lighter stone multiple times and nearly converting a rep, but it was not to be.
Lyle entered the arena and showed the world how a stone-to-shoulder is done with her first successful rep. Fatigue caught her on her second rep, but she recovered to score a second point. She failed her third attempt but tied Peacock on the leaderboard.
Belliveau maneuvered the stone to her shoulder multiple times but couldn’t stabilize it. She dumped her first two attempts behind her and couldn’t maintain her third attempt. It was clear the weight wasn’t the issue but rather the technique. She was not credited with reps after securing a good lift but failed to return the stone to the mat.
Underdown missed an attempt on the heavier stone before moving to the lighter option and missing there as well. She comfortably cleaned the weight but could not transition it to her shoulder.
Jardine wiped down the heavier stone before loading it onto her shoulder. She failed to stabilize it and return it to the mat and was awarded a no-rep. Her second attempt was successful to her shoulder, but she stumbled backward from the mat to the point that she had to hurl the stone back for it to count — and she did. She repeated that on her third attempt to score a massive 20 points — each rep with the heavier stone was worth 10 points.
Roberts loaded the lighter stone to her shoulder but failed to stabilize it — a recurring story in this event. She failed her second attempt and seemed defeated. She made a final attempt with 15 seconds on the clock, but the stone slipped from her grasp.
Liashchuck needed a miracle to overtake Carrasquillo, but given how many of the strongwomen were bombing out, that miracle was possible if she could lift the heavier stone. She locked in a first rep in 20 seconds. She achieved her second rep by one minute. She was close to a third but couldn’t find the balance.
Carasquillo was the final athlete to the floor, knowing only a few reps on the lighter stone could secure her the win. She opted to lift the heavier stone, achieving one rep in the first 20 seconds, which she knew was enough for the gold. She made a second attempt and was close but dumped the weight off the mat.
Inez Carrasquillo is the 2025 ASWC champion.
