Watch Peiman Maheripourehir Deadlift a Colossal 931lbs Without Straps!

Check out Iran's Peiman Maheripourehir rev up before an absolutely monstrous pull raw!

Peiman Maheripourehir, an Iranian strongman, shared a video on his Instragram where he deadlifts 422.5kg (931lbs) without the use of any additional equipment.

In the video, Maheripourehir psyches himself up while one of his trainers rubs the sides of Maheripourehir’s head and slaps the sides his face with both hands twice. Maheripourehir then steps up to the bar, takes a couple of deep breathes, and hoists the colossal 931lbs. A few moments after celebrating the lift, Maheripourehir signaled to his team to help him sit on the floor.

Shortly after posting, Maheripourehir took the video down for reasons that are unclear. The internet, however, is forever, and the video can still be seen thanks to @kingofthelifts. See it for yourself here:

This isn’t the first time Maherpourehir has posted extremely heavy deadlifts. A couple months ago, Maherpourehir posted a video on his Instagram of a 432kg (952lbs) deadlift where he ultimately locked out and holded at the top. The biggest distinction between this and his most recent deadlift is the use of lifting straps. The weight progression from earlier this year seems to be fairly steady for Maherpourehir, as he shared his 421kg (928lbs) deadlift using straps in June.

In case one gigantic lift alone wasn’t enough, and you’re inclined to see how consistent Maherpourehir’s pre-lift hype routine is, here are both of the deadlift videos of Maherpourehir using lifting straps:

Maherpourehir’s 421kg deadlift also involved the use of lifting straps, but the way he locks it out is still impressive.

The 32 year old Maherpourehir claimed the title of Iran’s Strongest Man in 2014 and 2015 and took 2nd in 2018. He competed in the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017 and 2018, but failed to make it to the finals in either year. Maherpourehir currently aims to break the deadlift classic world record of 460.4kg (1,015lbs) held by Iceland’s Benedikt Magnusson at the World Raw Powerlifting Federation championship in March 2020 in Yaroslavl, Russia.
