Jim has been coaching CrossFit since September of 2012. Jim has been working out at affiliates since 2011, but was introduced to the CrossFit style of fitness at a young age through his relationship with the renowned Navy Seal Michael Murphy, aka “Murph.” He grew up playing travel ice hockey, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse. He received a black belt in taekwondo at the ripe age of 11 and has practiced Krav Maga. He loves CrossFit with a bleeding passion and has enjoyed its development as a sport on a global scale. Before jumping headlong into the world of CrossFit, Jim worked at a boutique investment bank on a High Yield trading desk and for a couple of startup companies. Jim graduated from the prestigious Regis High School, and the highly ranked Villanova School of Business in 2009. He holds a CrossFit Level 2 Certification and has learned from some of the best CrossFit coaches in the United States including Vadim Noskov, owner of CrossFit Long Island City.
