IFBB Professional League Bikini competitor Huyen Emmy Person has announced she will be a mother. Person won the 2025 San Diego Pro to qualify for the 2025 Bikini Olympia, but will forego competing on the sport’s biggest stage.
“My world completely turned upside down this past week. A few days ago, I was eight weeks out from the biggest show of my career: the Olympia. Just five weeks away from my warm-up show. And then…we found out we are 14+ weeks pregnant,” Person shared in an Instagram post on Aug. 25, 2025. “The flood of emotions has been overwhelming.”
Despite being an expecting mother, Person clarified that she is not retiring from pro bodybuilding and intends to return to the stage.
“My Olympia dream is not gone…it’s just on pause,” Person confirmed. “I’m taking a little detour, but I promise I’ll return to that stage. Stronger. Wiser. Hungrier than ever.”
Person has been competing at the pro level since 2022. 2025 could be considered her breakout season. Aside from her first pro victory at the San Diego Pro, she also won the 2025 Wasatch Warrior Pro in Salt Lake City, UT. She ranked fourth at the 2025 New York Pro.
2025 Bikini Olympia Qualified Athletes
Although Person is out of the running for the 2025 Olympia, she is one of 69 pros qualified to compete in the Bikini division at the Olympia in Las Vegas, NV, on Oct. 9-12. As of Aug. 27, 2025, seven Olympia qualifiers remain before the qualification season concludes on Sept. 14.
