“Do it the same, but faster:” Noah Ohlsen’s Second Shot at 19.2 is Over a Minute Faster
Week 2 of the 2019 CrossFit Games Open has definitely put Noah Ohlsen back where he belongs: near the top of the leaderboard.
After placing 796th worldwide on 19.1, the 2016 CrossFit Games Open champ knew he’d have to move on, stay positive, and maximize his attempts on the following Open workouts.
Ohlsen was looking forward to making some adjustments after his first attempt at 19.2 was “an A” and to get an A+ on the redo, and that’s exactly what he did.
“I was nervous because I felt wiped after Friday so didn’t know where I’d be able to make up time, [but] I spent a little less time between reps from 225 on and it made all the difference.”
With a little help from a handy whiteboard and an “awesome cheering squad,” Ohlsen took his 19:38 from his first attempt down to 18:28 for his final score, putting him in 24th place in 19.2 at the close of entries and 226th place overall worldwide.
“Max’s advice was literally do it the same, but faster.”
