Check Out a Full Day of Eating for Tia Clair Toomey On Her Cutting Diet
On March 21, 2022, the five-time Fittest Woman on Earth®, Tia-Clair Toomey, and her husband and coach, Shane Orr of PRVN Fitness, took to their YouTube channel to share what a full day of eating for Toomey looks like on a cutting diet. Toomey is still dropping the weight she put on while competing for the Australian National Bobsled Team, helping them earn a spot at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Toomey seeks her sixth consecutive CrossFit Games title in 2022, which would make her the all-time winningest individual CrossFit athlete in history. Check out Toomey’s full day of eating via the video below:

Breakfast
Despite Orr’s attempts to ween Toomey away from bagels, they are still a staple of her breakfasts before training. On the day the above video was filmed, Toomey ate one and a half bagels with eggs, peanut butter, bacon, bananas, and blueberries. According to Orr, Toomey’s breakfast contains more fats as their training session is three hours later — the meal would feature fewer fats if the window between eating and training were more narrow.
- Beef bacon — 112 grams
- Everything bagel — 45 grams
- Two eggs
- Peanut butter, flaxseed — 20 grams
- One banana
- Blueberries — half cup
- Three apple cider vinegar gummies
- Irish butter — eight grams
Toomey had a total of 790 calories for breakfast. Toomey prefers feeling “full and satisfied” to start her day and will take her vitamins and additional supplements following her first meal. Eating a breakfast dense in fats and carbs allows Toomey to train with intensity and feel as though she still recovers well afterward.
An entire food bag is dedicated to snacks that Toomey can consume if she feels her energy is dipping during training. Orr highlighted the importance of these snacks to maintain solid pacing when training endurance pieces in the gym. Those snacks include oats, a banana, gummies, Nutrigrain bars, and a protein smoothie with a carbohydrate blend mixed in.
Lunch
Toomey consumes her lunch at the gym following her first training session. A simple meal of rice and beef amounting to 500 calories does the trick:
- Jasmine rice — one cup
- Beef liver — 200 grams
Toomey reiterates that she is still in the process of cutting her bobsled weight and is conscious of her macronutrient intake. On training days, she prioritizes getting enough carbs. Toomey’s training session included time on an exercise bike, what appeared to be ring muscle-ups, snatches with 135 pounds on a barbell, bar muscle-ups, handstand walks, and clean & jerks. Following her strength piece, Toomey consumes the following snacks amounting to another 780 calories:
- One banana — 113 grams
- Fruit gummies — two pouches
- Mixed berry oats — 141 grams
- Recharge drink mix
- Loop D Fruit Phormula-1 — 27 grams
- Ignition 1st Phorm — one scoop
Toomey is slowly decreasing her calories to lose the bobsled weight in a way that still allows her to get the proper nutrients needed to maintain her training in the gym. She anticipates hitting her target weight by the time she competes at one of the 2022 CrossFit Semifinal events.

Dinner
Of all the meals throughout the day, Toomey’s dinner is the lightest in terms of calories — only 440:
- Potato — 150 grams
- Avocado — 45 grams
- Salad mix
- Pork Tenderloin — six ounces
Toomey suggests adding some dressing to this meal for flavor if anyone were to recreate it, but as she is amidst a cut, she forewent adding dressing. By that same token, she also did not have an evening snack as she might typically as her goal is to drop weight, and she already hit her macros for the day. If she had the macros left for the day, she would have mixed some oats and greek yogurt with honey and berries. Toomey aims to keep her daily calories below 2,500, and this particular day of eating barely went over that. Her total calories were 2,550.
