HYROX, which is taking over the global fitness race scene, just celebrated its 5,000th global training club and is announcing the launch of a HYROX training floor plan for gyms to follow.
One big thing: HYROX 365 is the training, coaching, and education side of HYROX and has recently updated its metrics, which reveal a global affiliation annual growth rate of 260% and over 2,300 new club affiliates in 2024.
The details: HYROX and CrossFit have many crossovers when it comes to what they ask of athletes and the addictive nature of competition.
Many elite CrossFit athletes have started competing in HYROX races, and many affiliates have also started to introduce HYROX 365 programming into their schedules, embracing the sport as a supplemental training modality for their athletes.
- “As we continue the global build-out of the sport of HYROX, developing exceptional training and coaching offerings is key to the long-term success of the sport,” HYROX CEO Christian Toetzke said in a press release.

How HYROX 365 Works
HYROX 365 is a three-tiered affiliation model, coupling training floor plans with affiliation and coaching.
- The first tier is comprised of HYROX Performance Centers. These are specially designed (or retro-fitted) gyms focused entirely on HYROX training with a floor plan that is adaptable and multi-functional for gyms to use.
- The second tier is made up of the HYROX Training Clubs. This is the standard affiliation model. CrossFit or other functional fitness gyms can affiliate with HYROX, and then they get to market as a HYROX training facility. They also receive early access to race tickets and the performance hub.
- The third tier is the HYROX Performance Academy. This includes online and in-person certification opportunities where coaches can complete the HYROX Academy program led by performance experts. The current program includes three primary course offerings:
- The Foundation Course
- HYROX Level 1 – Creating Athletes
- HYROX Level 2 – Mastering Performance.
Douglas Gremmen, Managing Director of HYROX 365, said that there are 600,000 active HYROX racers. With the HYROX 365 program, he hopes to provide a “low barrier to entry group class where athletes get a taste of HYROX training and the overall community aspect of group exercise.”
- HYROX 365 is supported by the HYROX Performance Hub and HYROX Academy LMS to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem that is easy to use and accessible to gyms and their members.
- Gremmen said: “With an unmatched digital resource in the Performance Hub, HYROX can service not only independent operators but deliver global enterprise-level solutions to global players like F45, The Gym Group, Fitness Park, and GoodLife Fitness.”
The HYROX 365 business is science-backed and uses an evidence-based methodological approach to training athletes. The panel for the training program includes experts in a multitude of areas, including David Magida for group training and Chris Hinshaw for aerobic capacity.
The Bottom Line
If one thing is clear, it’s that the sport is trending upward and had a very successful year.
- There are a number of races for 2025 that are already sold out, and athletes are now being added to the waitlist. Athletes are clamoring for more races and more ways to compete, and HYROX is answering that call.
