Over the past few weeks, fans of two-time CrossFit Games champion Justin Medeiros have noticed that he’s sporting new threads.
Now it’s official: the Boise-based champ has signed on as the newest GYMREAPERS athlete.
Remind me: GYMREAPERS has been expanding its footprint in the CrossFit ecosystem. Just weeks ago, the brand shared details about its partnership with 2025 Mayhem Classic winner Austin Hatfield.
For Medeiros, this partnership marks a new chapter, one he’s eager to write.
- “Partnering with a new company is a big decision. My actions will be a reflection on them, and their actions will be a reflection on me,” Medeiros tells Morning Chalk Up. “The companies I have the opportunity to work with, I view as part of my team. We work together in supporting each other in order to reach our goals.”
The relationship is fitting, as Medeiros’ house and gym are located just 20 minutes from GYMREAPERS’ Idaho headquarters.
- “With GYMREAPERS being a local company, I have had multiple opportunities to meet and interact with the people behind the brand,” Medeiros said. “I cannot express how excited I am for what’s to come.”
Some background: While GYMREAPERS isn’t yet a household name in the CrossFit world, it is well-known in weightlifting and bodybuilding. Strongmen, record-holding powerlifters, and International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) pro athletes wear them.
Roc Pilon, founder and CEO of the brand, shares Medeiros’ enthusiasm for this new relationship.
- “Justin embodies everything GYMREAPERS stands for – grit, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of excellence,” Pilon told Morning Chalk Up. “His work ethic is a symbol of what it means to put in the work and earn everything. We’re proud to have him join the team and push the standard even higher.”
The bottom line: While Medeiros is the second athlete announced, we’ve been seeing more athletes sporting the trademark skull. This raises the question: Are there more athletes joining the official roster? Additionally, what is the next step in GYMREAPERS’ growth plan?
