Berrocal and Agreda of Bolivia are returning the the CrossFit Games after each secured the title of Bolivia national champion in 2019. Berrocal finished 95th and Agreda finished 135th at the 2019 CrossFit Games.
Takeyeva and Savenko will each be making their CrossFit Games debut.
The announcement of the return for both countries comes after “a review of special circumstances” that includes an exemption of a clause in section 1.07 of the CrossFit Rulebook which states:
“Any country that has at least one active CrossFit affiliate in good standing with CrossFit, Inc. at the close of the first Open workout will have a chance to send a qualified athlete to the Games.”

Every year upon completion of the CrossFit Open, CrossFit HQ finalizes the leaderboard ranking after a video review of the Open. That review was completed on December 19th, 2019. The official list of national champions eligible for an invitation to the 2020 Reebok CrossFit Games who had accepted was released earlier this year but did not include Kazakhstan or Bolivia.
The summation of CrossFit HQ’s press release:
“Many roads lead to the CrossFit Games.”
