History was made again in Manassas, VA.

The seventh record of the 2023 WRPF American Pro 2 meet has fallen. On Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, 75-kilogram lifter Kristy Hawkins competed in the Primetime flight as part of the raw with wraps roster and achieved a milestone.

Hawkins didn’t break any individual world records on the three lifts, but she broke the record for the highest DOTS score (a ratio of weight lifted compared to body weight) of all time with a score of 711.18. She also won the Best Female Lifter award in the raw with wraps category.

According to Open Powerlifting, Marianna Gasparyan previously held this record. Gasparyan secured a DOTS score of 709.96 at the 2019 WRPF Kern US Open on Apr. 27, 2019, in Del Mar, CA. Hawkins was number two all-time before this meet with a score of 704.76, coincidentally at the 2022 WRPF American Pro.

Hawkins broke through to the top spot in Manassas by the end of her opening deadlift of 262.5 kilograms (578.8 pounds). She attempted to push that number to 275 kilograms but missed her second and third attempts.

Hawkins weighed in at 74 kilograms (163.1 pounds), one kilogram under the weight cap. She went six for nine on the day. Her best lifts from the American Pro 2 are below:

2023 WRPF American Pro Results — Kristy Hawkins

  • Squat — 310 kilograms (683.6 pounds)
  • Bench Press — 152.5 kilograms (336.2 pounds)
  • Deadlift — 262.5 kilograms (578.8 pounds)
  • Total — 725 kilograms (1,598.6 pounds)*

*711.18 DOTS Score — First All-Time

This was the first world record to fall on the final day of the weekend. Prior to this, six world records had been claimed in the first two days of the meet, with five of them being on the deadlift.
