On Jan. 13, 2021, Reebok released the newest and “most refined iteration” of the Nano franchise — the new Nano X1. According to Reebok’s press release, the new Nano X1s are engineered for “high-intensity interval training (HIIT), bootcamp-style workouts, cardio, dance, boxing, or functional training.”
The Nano X1 will be available for purchase on Feb. 3, 2021 on Reebok.com and globally at select retailers. On Jan. 13, 2021, “UNLOCKED” members of Reebok.com will have access to the limited edition “I’ll Call You Back” Nano X1 — a “triple black colorway with reflective detailing” — as well as early access to the Nano X1 on Jan. 29, 2021.
Standout Features of the Reebok Nano X1:

- Stability support.
For the first time in Nano franchise history, these cross trainers will be available in either Flexweave Knit or Flexweave Grit. The former is a breathable knitted upper material while the latter is a more durable upper material “built for the most extreme workouts.”

Nano X1 “Official Shoe of Fitness” Campaign
In addition to the launch of the Nano X1, Reebok announced their partnership with some of the most notable names in fitness for the “Official Shoe of Fitness” campaign, including four-time Fittest Man on Earth® Rich Froning (who inspired his own Nano X cross trainer) and actor, model, and dancer Camille Kostek. History of the Reebok Nano
There have been many versions of the Reebok Nano since the shoe’s silhouette was first conceived a decade ago. Multiple versions of the Nano X were released in 2020, including the Wonder Women 1984 inspired variant that sported the comic book superhero’s aesthetic with images of her classic comic strips on the shoes’ soles.
Reebok Nano 9s were released in 2019, as were the novel glow-in-the-dark version and the Navy SEAL inspired variant that benefitted the Navy SEAL Foundation — a nonprofit that helps support Naval Special Warfare community members and their families.
2018 saw the Reebok Nano 8s introduce the “Flexweave” technology to the shoe line (as seen on the Nano X1s). This was the evolution of the 2017 Nano 7s‘ use of the “NanoWeave” technology — a breathable mesh — on the uppers and stabilizing heel piece. Looking back before these technologies were introduced, the Nano 6s and its Covert variant included a lifting shoe-like stability strap on top.
