IFBB Pro bodybuilder Sadik Hadzovic is trading his board shorts for posing trunks in a switch from Men’s Physique back to Classic Physique, retrying his luck in the heavier weight category where he feels most aesthetic.
“I’m prepping again,” said Hadzovic on Oct. 16, 2024. Although he hasn’t named a contest, Hadzovic raved about his new leg day hack and goals:
Breakfast and Fastin
Hadzovic is up before 5 a.m., starting his daily gallon of water to keep his muscles “full, hydrated, and performing better.” He fueled with a scoop and a half of Little Debbie cakes-inspired “Christmas Tree flavor” protein powder by Ryse Supplements, mixed with 60 grams of cream of rice.
“Skipping breakfast is the worst thing you can possibly do for yourself. If you want to get jacked, you can’t skip breakfast,” Hadzovic said.
Though intermittent fasting — eating during a specific window — may offer certain benefits, it’s probably not ideal for high-calorie bodybuilding diets. Eating enough “clean” calories is often a chore, and spreading out meals may allow more optimal utilization of nutrients.
CNS & New Leg Gains Hack
During his squat session, Hadzovic aimed to trigger his central nervous system (CNS), explaining, “The goal is to go so heavy that we activate our central nervous system, leaving us pale, shaky, and forcing the body to grow.”
Hadzovic tested this theory during hack squats without shoes: “I feel so much more activation in my legs; it’s making them bigger.” Shoes typically provide a more solid base for squatting; removing them changes the feel of the movement.
To target the quads, Hadzovic places his feet low on the platform and uses a higher stance for more hamstrings. He maxed out the machine with nine 45-pound plates per side, grinding seven reps at 90 degrees.
Physique Goals and Training Split
“I want to restore my health and cleanse my body,” Hadzovic expressed. He recently hired a new coach, and while he didn’t disclose who, they are focused on health, improving his X-frame, and creating better proportions. The 2015 Arnold Classic Men’s Physique champ unveiled his new training split:
- Day 1: Chest and delts
- Day 2: Back, hamstrings, glutes, calves
- Day 3: Rest
- Day 4: Quads, abductors, calves
- Day 5: Rest
- Day 6: Back, biceps
- Day 7: Chest, triceps
- Day 8: Rest
- Day 9: Quads and hamstrings
- Day 10: Upper chest, medial/rear delts, traps
- Day 11: Biceps and triceps
- Day 12: Rest
- Day 13: Rest
Hadzovic mentioned plans for Korea in November, where his new brand, “Now or Never,” will collaborate on a release of hoodies and T-shirts.
